Goalie Specialist
Bob Essensa

As he enters his eighth season with the Bruins organization since he was named as the club's goaltending coach on September 9, 2003.


Essensa played four seasons of college hockey at Michigan State University from 1983-97, earning CCHA First Team All-Star honors in 1984-85 and a Second Team All-Star berth in 1985-86.


He was drafted by Winnipeg as their fifth pick, 71st overall, in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft and played five-plus seasons in the Jets organization, including a career-best 33-win season in 1992-93. He played for six NHL teams over a 14-year professional career and played his final NHL season with the Buffalo Sabres in 2001-02. His NHL career record was 173-176-47 with a 3.15 goals against average and 18 shutouts in 446 games with Winnipeg, Detroit, Edmonton, Phoenix, Vancouver and Buffalo.


We are very pleased to have him join our team. His experience of the game of hockey that he brings to Sport Testing. Bob has designed protocols that incorporate real game situations using our technology to capture all qualities of a goalies movement to reaction.

Women's Hockey Specialists
Vicky Sunohara

She is a 3 time Olympian and reffered to as one of Canada's all time popular female ice hockey players. Often referred to as the "Wayne Gretzky of Woman's Hockey". Sunohara is credited with helping to expand the popularity of female ice hockey, having trained and mentored many young girls in the sport. Along with instructing at several hockey camps and clinics, she has served as an assistant hockey coach at the Team Canada Under 18 and Under 19 evaluation camps.


Well-known for her affable manner and engaging personality, Sunohara has been described as "one of the nicest people in all of hockey." During her tenure with Team Canada, Sunohara was counted on for her veteran leadership. She was the assistant captain of Canada's national team from 2001 until her retirement in 2008 at the age of 38.


Sport Testing is honored that Vicky as joined the team as Woman's Hockey Specialist.

Men's Hockey Specialist
Pierre Allard

Pierre Allard grew up dreaming of a career in the National Hockey League, but he never dreamed the path to his current job as the Canadiens' strength and conditioning coach would take him around the world before settling in his hometown.


The 38-year-old was born in Montreal and grew up in Laval, where he played minor hockey. He and New Jersey Devils goaltender Marty Brodeur were junior teammates with the St. Hyacinthe Laser, which had relocated from Montreal.


His Pro Hockey career lasted for over a decade in Europe, Including the 1998 Olympics for France, he returns home to follow his passion for Hockey.


We are pleased to work with Pierre and creating new hockey drills, tests, and following long term players development.


John Bowler

As a former player, General Manager, Owner, Scout, and hockey parent, he knows that the true nature of the game, and all the positives it can bring to ones life. It is still the fundamental goal to most people. John adds sales and business development to our team.

Soccer Specialist
Craig Forrest

Craig first attracted national attention as a member of an outstanding National Youth Team that competed in the FIFA World Youth Championship in Chile in 1987. Prior to that he had joined the English club Ipswich Town in 1986 as an apprentice and during his career at Portman Road appeared in 263 games. During his time with Ipswich Town he led the team to the then Second Division Championship in the 1991-92 season and a place in the Premier league in the first season of its existence, appearing in all 46 games, After a brief spell with Chelsea he was transferred to West Ham United in 1997 where he appeared in 30 games before illness cut short his career after 5 seasons.


Craig made his full international debut for Canada's National Team on May 25, 1988 against Chile in a game for the Sir Stanley Matthews Cup. He went on to play 56 times for his country, most notably in the CONCACAF Gold Cup triumph in Los Angeles in 2000 - where he was named the tournament's top goalkeeper and MVP for allowing a mere 3 goals and stopping two penalties in his side's 5 games – and in the Confederations Cup in Japan the following year.


He is now an analyst with Rogers Sportsnet and Honorary Chair for the FIFA World Youth Championship Canada 2007.


Craig is excited to be part of the Sport Testing Inc. team. He will be working closely with professional players and governing organizations to develop soccer specific tests that can be directly correlated to on-field performance.

Nick Dasovic

We are pleased to announce that Nick has joined our team. The wealth of athletic and soccer knowledge he brings to the table is outstanding. As retired professional Soccer player, he is still involved in coaching, scouting, and player development. Most recently he was the Coach of TFC, Coach of Canada's U23 team, and working with TSN Soccer Show. Nick is working with us on the development of a soccer player's skills, tests, and long term athlete development. Nicks main focus is the testing of a soccer player, and having the ability to recognize soccer talent through a battery of soccer related testing protocols. Monitoring the players development on the Sport Testing Solution.

Lacrosse Specialist
Glenn Clark

Recently added to the 2011 Coaching Staff for the World Lacrosse Championships, Glenn is a former head coach of the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League. Glenn played in the NLL from 1998-2006 for both the Rock and the Philadelphia Wings. With the Rock, Glenn won five NLL Championships. He also appeared in three National Lacrosse League All-Star Games, two with the Rock, and one with the Wings. In 2003, Glenn played for Team Canada as they won the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships.


Glenn with other lacrosse icons have designed our sport specific lacrosse testing protocols. Making our testing protocols, real game situations.

Squash Specialist
Jonathon Power

Jonathon Power is the former PSA World #1 and North America's most successful player of all time. Boasting over 36 tour titles, makes him an all time squash legend. Now retired and head coach of the National Squash academy he brings his wealth of knowledge to today's youth. Sport Testing is pleased to work with Jonathon on developing Squash related tests. Working with Jonathon on long term athlete development programs with testing protocols is going to enhance the game of squash.

Sean Pierson

Sport Testing is excited to have recently added UFC Fighter Sean Pierson. Sean has been involved and has competed in Mixed Martial Arts competitions for over 20 years. Sean is one of the pioneers in Canadian Mixed Martial Arts and just recently competed in the UFC 124 where he received the unofficial fight of the night. Sean has extensive experience in many areas of Mixed Martial Arts including Wrestling, Brazilian Jui-Jitsu, Muay Thai and Boxing. Sean, with many of our trainers and sports doctors are in the process of developing standardize Mixed Martial Arts testing in order to enhance each fighters athletic performance.
